Christina Batista is a chef, restaurateur, television host, and stay-at-home (full-time) mother. She is best known for MasterChef Australia (2009) series 5 where she was ranked 5th. She also took a second chance and appeared as a returning contestant in MasterChef Australia which returned for its 14th season in 2022. The format was known as Fans & Favourites and featured 12 new contestants and 12 former contestants. The season premiered on April 18, 2022. When she is not spending time with her children she is either watching cooking shows or cooking. She was eliminated from the show on May 10, 2022.
When her son Damian was diagnosed with autism, it became necessary for her to be a stay-at-home mum. She said, “I want to prove to myself that I am more than what I am now. I know that being a mum is one of the most important jobs in the world, but I know that I can be more.” Her dream is to open up a funky cafe that plays on her love of 1950s fashion and style. “I would love to move to London and open up a little cafe there with Kate, Damian, and Anabelle. I want to be able to give other mothers opportunities to interact with other people, and I would eventually love to run cooking classes from the cafe at night and spread my love of food.”
According to her LinkedIn profile, she undertook her studies at Canterbury Girls High School from 1994 to 1999. Batista was however eliminated from the show on May 10, 2022, as the fifth contestant to leave.
