Max Kaprivsky is an osteopath in Melbourne, Victoria. He has been a part of the City Osteopathy team since 2013. He was a contestant in season 14 of MasterChef Australia. The show returned for its 14th season in 2022. The format is known as Fans & Favourites and features 12 new contestants and 12 former contestants. The season premiered on April 18, 2022. The filming took place at Centenary Hall, Royal Melbourne Showgrounds. The winner of MasterChef Australia usually takes home a quarter of a million dollars. He was the third contestant to be eliminated from the show on May 3, 2022.
In addition to his work at City Osteopathy, he has also started working at Victoria University, supervising the next generation of osteopaths at the Victoria University Student Clinic. Crediting his Russian grandmother Rita with his link to his Russian heritage, he said she was an exceptional cook, and he also admires the works of Gordon Ramsay and Josh Niland. Also inspired by chefs including Matty Matheson, Thomas Keller, Massimo Bottura, and his own father, Max is passionate about soccer and loves to read and travel when he can. He dreams of one day opening his very own dine-in bottle-o, an Aussie-centric wine and beer local with a small rotating chalkboard menu.

He is married to his wife Simmone Ortland. They got married in 2021 after planning their wedding for 4 hours. Like many over the last few years, he has battled through the different stages of COVID restrictions. In February 2021 as Melbourne sat on the cusp of yet another lockdown, Max and his fiancée Simmone decided they were not prepared to cancel yet another wedding. So, with four hours’ notice, they simply whipped it up, which was no mean feat securing the attendance of more than 80 guests. It might not have been the winery venue they had planned, but he admits it was perfect with the help of his family and wedding planners.
