Elisabeth “Elie” Scott Survivor 43

She is a castaway from Survivor 43. In the game, she is affiliated with the Baka Tribe. Their color of identity is yellow. She has expressed her liking towards activities such as rock climbing, skiing, and karaoke at dive bars. She also regards herself as being clever, and perceptive and has an authentic personality. She is also creative and artsy with an interest in writing, painting, and learning new crafts. On the other end, she has expressed a great dislike for people who are inconsiderate or who knowingly hurt others. She has also said that Social injustice and discrimination ‘make her blood boil.’ Upon observation of such, she says that she always speaks up even if it lands her in trouble.

Something she has accomplished that she is most proud of is that she was persistent in her quest for education despite all the problems she faced. When she applied for her college studies, her high school advisor greatly discouraged her from enrolling in college deeming t a waste of time and money. However, her deep desire to want to pursue psychology in order to be of help to families that faced addiction like hers she worked against the advice and enrolled in the course. She got accepted to a program for students with lower GPAs and/or standardized test scores, with the contingency that she had to make A’s in all of her first-semester classes. After meeting this requirement, she realized how fulfilling it felt to perform well in studies, show up to class, and try hard at things that were challenging. She graduated early from college with a 3.89 GPA and went on to earn a 4.0 GPA in all of her Master’s and Doctoral courses.

She regards her maternal grandparents as her heroes because they overcame challenges and took risks to provide a better life for their family and the community they lived in. The past survivor that she would like to emulate is Kim Spradlin. She attests that like Kim she has the ability to lead a group to the end. She also considers playing like Kelley Wentworth. This is because she is scrappy and crafty and would be fighting up until the last minute to find idols and sway votes in the same way. She could also play a social and strategic game like Cirie Fields. In that way, people perceive her as caring and nurturing, and so she will be afforded more room to subtly manipulate and push for her best interest, without turning people against her. She would also feel proud to play and grow in the same way that Sarah Lacina did across her seasons.

In her final answer, she completed by saying that she believes she would be the Sole Survivor by using her natural social skill and cutthroat strategy. The other contestants will trust, share information, and be disarmed by her making her dangerous. She said, “I am coming into the game with the understanding that SURVIVOR is a world with a different set of social norms, so my mindset will shift away from Psychologist ethics and toward SURVIVOR Ethics. I will outplay with my natural competitiveness, athleticism, and tenacity. I will not give up. In this new era, advantages are key, so I will hustle hard to find and use advantages to keep myself alive! And I will outlast by moving towards small goals that will motivate me along the way. I will know when to strike and when to lay low. I will be sneaky when I have to be transparent when it is beneficial. I will adapt to the game.”
