David Harper born David Kingsley Harper is an antiques expert, speaker, artist, and writer. He is an antique expert in the BBC television program Bargain Hunt.
Apart from his appearance on Bargain Hunt, he has also been on Antiques Road Trip. Other programs in which he has appeared as an expert are, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is and Cash in the Attic. He won the first series of Antiques Road Trip in April 2012 coming up £2488 for Children in Need from a starting budget of £200.
The expert’s first television role was in Channel 4’s Natural Born Dealers where he was the programme’s presenter. Other shows that he has featured in include Through the Keyhole and Ready Steady Cook, and has presented pieces for The Heaven and Earth Show, The One Show, Inside Out, and Countryfile Summer Diaries.
Earlier on, he began his career by shipping antiques to and from the United States. Afterward, he became the director of a British PLC company importing antique-style rubberwood furniture from the Far East.

I started collecting coins and stamps at the age of five and bought my first antique at the age of nine. That along with a great love of history, it’s always been the perfect business for me.”
