Jon Lovett is an American comedian, podcaster, and former speechwriter for former President Barack Obama. He appears as a contestant in the 47th season of American Survivor.
Lovett is the cohost of political podcast “Pod Save America”. According to USA Today, Lovett discusses U.S. politics on “Pod Save America,” which launched the month of former President Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2017, alongside fellow Obama alums Jon Favreau, Tommy Vietor and Dan Pfeiffer.
He also hosts the “Lovett or Leave It” podcast and co-founded the media company Crooked Media.
Born in Woodbury, New York, United States, he attended Syosset High School. He later graduated from Williams College in 2004 with a degree in mathematics.
His senior thesis, Rotating Linkages in a Normed Plane, led to a related publication on the same topic in American Mathematical Monthly. Lovett was the Williams College class speaker at his commencement ceremony in 2004.
After graduation, Lovett spent a year working as a paralegal and doing stand-up comedy on the side.
