Vincenzo “Vinny” Loseto is an award-winning chef elevating Napa cuisine. He is the Chef de Cuisine at Press Restaurant and a contestant on the 22nd season of Top Chef.

Born and raised along the shores of Massapequa, N.Y., Vincenzo “Vinny” Loseto developed a deep appreciation for locally sourced ingredients from an early age. Growing up fishing and clamming, he also learned the art of butchery from his Italian family, a foundation that shaped his approach to crafting memorable, ingredient-driven dishes.

After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Loseto launched his career in some of the most prestigious kitchens in the country. He trained under Daniel Humm and James Kent at The NoMad, quickly rising through the ranks to sous chef. His culinary journey then took him to Eleven Madison Park, where he honed his skills under Chef Brian Lockwood.

In 2016, Loseto’s talent earned him first place in the Ment’Or Young Chef Competition, a prestigious achievement that led him to join Team USA in the 2017 Bocuse d’Or, the world’s most renowned culinary competition. Competing alongside Matthew Peters and Philip Tessier, Team USA made history by securing their first-ever gold medal.

Today, Vincenzo Loseto is the Chef de Cuisine at Press Restaurant in Napa, CA, where he collaborates with Chef Philip Tessier to redefine California-American cuisine. Known for his expert precision and technique, Loseto showcases the best of local farm produce, crafting dishes that celebrate the rich agricultural bounty of Napa Valley.

Chef Vinny is a contestant on Top Chef; Destination Canada. The cooking reality show is in its 22nd season and will take place in Canada. It premieres on March 13, 2025.

This season’s grand prize includes $250,000; $125,000 in Delta flight credit; a feature in Food & Wine magazine; and an appearance at the annual Food & Wine Classic. Plus, the winner will have a chance to present at The James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards in Chicago, Ill., and to headline an exclusive dinner at the James Beard house in New York. Quickfire Challenges are back, so the chefs will also be competing for $150,000 in cash prizes throughout the season.
