Alana Lowes is an Australian food, travel and lifestyle television presenter, travel writer, and magazine editor. She is a contestant in season 17 of MastercHef Australia – Back to Win Concept.
Born in Melbourne, her family later moved to Mildura while she was still young.She went to school and graduated from the University of Canberra and graduated with a double degree in journalism and law.
Following school, She worked for WIN News in Canberra as a reporter in 2006, and then with Nine News in Brisbane in 2008. Lowes also worked as a journalist with Style magazine, where her articles included food, travel and interviews with celebrities such as Liam Hemsworth and Julia Zemiro.
She has also worked as a recipe developer, food stylist, photographer and even launched her own sauce range.
Alana Lowes was the host of a food and travel series called A Taste of Travel featured on Channel Ten, Australia. She also wrote for ninemsn, as a regular food columnist with ninemsn food.
