Alex King is a New Zealand former radio presenter for Mai FM, musician, and actress. She s also best recognized as being Mike King’s daughter. Mike is a New Zealand mental health advocate, television personality, and former comedian. She is a contestant in Celebrity Treasure Island 2022. The show premiered on September 5, 2022, and the winner will receive NZ$100,000 for the charity of their choice. Celebrity Treasure Island is aired on TVNZ 2 and TVNZ+ from Monday to Wednesday at 7:30 pm. She joined the show in a bid to win $100,000 for a youth initiative that’s part of Mike’s mental health organization I Am Hope.
Being a musician, she has previously released the track When It’s Over, inspired by overcoming an abusive relationship, she hopes to release new music in 2022.

She narrated, “I’ve battled anxiety most of my life. It’s been a constant up and down, especially working in radio for six years and experiencing the limelight outside of Dad. It’s been a struggle and you learn to grow up very fast. And working on the radio, you have to be so honest. With going through break-ups and personal struggles, and having to deliver that on-air, some of my friends would say, ‘Why would you tell the nation that?’ But if someone else out there’s struggling, they’ll find it relatable.”
