Alisha Elenz was the executive chef of MFK restaurant in Chicago. She began her journey with the establishment as a part-time prep cook in 2015. Through her unwavering passion, dedication, and exceptional work ethic, she quickly ascended to the top of the team.
Originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Alisha entered the restaurant industry in 2011 and has since earned two nominations for the 2019 James Beard Foundation’s Rising Star Chef award. Notably, she won the Rising Star Chef category at the 2019 Jean Banchet Awards.
Specializing in Mediterranean flavors with a background in Spanish cuisine, Alisha boasts 12 years of experience in the restaurant business. Her rapid ascent in the professional ranks led her to become an Executive Chef at the age of 23.
Presently, Alisha runs her own private chef and events company, “Whisk the Night Away,” where she curates a complete restaurant experience within the comfort of clients’ homes. In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, Alisha, who was laid off during its peak, sought to provide an opportunity for individuals to enjoy a restaurant experience for special occasions within their own homes. This vision led to the creation of “Whisk the Night Away.”
