Ayesha Faines (born Ayesha K. Faines) was an American journalist, panelist on The Grapevine, and founder of Women Love Power. Women Love Power founded in 2015, is a digital learning company that produces educational programming designed to help women develop their authentic power and also to support female content creators.
Faines was best known for being a featured panelist on The Grapevine Show, which is a millennial web series. She was also a journalist for local titles such as News4Jax and My9TV and had other bylines in publications such as MTV.
Previously, she had worked at the Jacksonville TV station – WJXT. The journalist used to work as a traffic anchor for the television outlet. She died on Friday, July 2, 2021. Jacksonville TV station WJXT reported that her death happened “unexpectedly,”. Many people flooded social media with condolences for the writer, with one saying “the loss of this woman will be felt for generations.”
She died after a car crash on W. Hillsborough Avenue, according to the Tampa Police Department. The woman was turning left onto N. Howard Avenue around 6:45 a.m. and turned in front of a Lexus SUV traveling eastbound on W. Hillsborough Avenue, police said. The Lexus driver tried to avoid a crash but ultimately struck the right side of the woman’s Prius, police said. The woman was transported to the hospital after the crash where she was pronounced dead.
