Ben Katzman is an experienced musician, guitar teacher, and contestant in the 46th series of American Survivor. The show premieres on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, on CBS.
Katzman has spent his years as a working musician, touring and promoting bands around the country. He is the founder of Bufu Records, and his projects have gained recognition in publications such as Pitchfork, Brooklyn Vegan, and beyond.
He calls himself a real-life Dewey Finn (and, ironically, got into Survivor when School of Rock writer Mike White was on the show). He seems like a character brought to life, with “shred” being his verb of choice for just about everything. But despite being larger than life, the 31-year-old contains an authenticity and adamancy to not be a “poser,” a quality he hopes will have him going from plucking strings to pulling them.
The musician has worked with artists and has also featured in commercials and television shows.
