Chris Viaud is a chef and owner of Greenleaf and Culture in Milford, New Hampshire. He was a contestant on Bravo-TV’s Top Chef season 18. According to his bio on Bravo.com, he was raised in Boston, Randolph with his parents who had migrated from Haiti. Chris then relocated to Londonderry, New Hampshire, and eventually graduated from high school. He proceeded with his university education at the Johnson & Wales University and graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts & Food Service Management. After he finished his studies, he went back to Boston and took three years of learning at Modern French restaurant, Deuxave as he worked diligently with the owner and head chef Chris Coombs, Adrienne Mosier, and acclaimed Chef Stefanie Bui.

After gaining skills at Deuxave, he has assisted to open four restaurants in the New Hampshire area and Massachusetts. He opened his restaurant Greenleaf in Milford, New Hampshire at the age of 28. His style of cooking embraces the rustic style with an addition of classic techniques. The menus he comes up with are mainly from products that are locally obtained and that are seasonal. After a period of one year, he also opened another restaurant, Culture. It is a bakery that comes up with artisanal pieces of bread, sandwiches, and pastries while working with locally sourced agricultural products. His resilience is sourced from his family, friends, and staff.
