Dwight Moore is a graduate student at Stanford University. He is a castaway from Survivor 43. The season premiered on September 21, 2022, on CBS and Global. He was announced as one of 18 contestants alongside, Jesse Lopez, Gabler, Noelle Lambert, Geo Bustamante, Cassidy Clark, Sami Layadi, and many others. Filming of the show took place in Fiji for an eleventh consecutive season.

He is a contestant in 2022’s Survivor series 43. He forms part of the tribe dubbed Vesi which are identified with the color Red. Dwight is the youngest member of Vesi. Some of his hobbies include; skiing, video games, and tutoring/teaching. He describes himself as an ambitious, confident, and strong-willed person. He has also stated that he dislikes someone making a reference to “The Office” within two seconds of learning his name, Arrogance and refusal to use turn signals while driving.
The greatest accomplishment that makes him proud is that while in his sophomore year of high school, he decided to take the ACT, just to see how he would do on it, and he ended up getting a perfect score. That was great for college admissions, and it garnered him attention locally and nationally. Due to that, he has had parents in Memphis tell him that they’ve used him as an example for their kids, to show what black people can accomplish academically. “It’s not the actual score that I’m proud of; it’s the idea that, hopefully, someone felt motivated by seeing black representation in an academic space.” He added.
He also goes on to say that e has had a whole career in journalism that rivals that of professionals before he entered college. He says he got into journalism because as a kid, he wanted to become President and decided that the best way to learn was by interviewing other political figures. The list of people he has interviewed includes Cory Booker, Madeleine Albright, Colin Powell, and Condoleezza Rice. He also covered the red carpet at the National Civil Rights Museum’s Freedom Awards for many years, interviewing honorees.
He regards his parents as his heroes because his father grew up in a small town in Mississippi and went on to be a doctor whereas his mother was a practicing registered nurse who now stays at home. He says his parents have done a lot despite the challenges they have faced and have been able to provide a lot for him as he grew up.
He hopes to play his Survivor game like Wendell from “Ghost Island”. This is because Wendell made it far due to an extremely strong social game, and he hopes to create a similar level of bond so that people will want to keep him around, even if doing so would be detrimental to their long-term game. Wendell also, he performed well in challenges, both in the individual and tribal phases when needed.
He believes he can be the Sole Survivor because of his social skills and intellect as well as the passion he has for everything he does in life. He says that when he sets his mind to do something, he will do everything until he meets that goal. He concluded by saying, “I’m well aware that I lack typical skills for living outdoors, but many legends of the game lacked those skills initially as well. I’ve always been open to learning and adapting to my environment in order to succeed, and I don’t plan on treating this game any differently, especially in the succeeding part.”
