Hayley Minogue is an American anchor and television reporter at WHAS11 in Louisville, Kentucky. She specializes in general assignment reporting. She is a native of Louisville as she was born and raised in that particular city. She wrote about college basketball (Lady Hoops Let’s Go!) for Kentucky Sports Radio, which landed her an internship at ESPN. Her career kicked off in Hazard at WYMT and then went to the Gulf Coast to work in the Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, Florida, area for the CBS affiliate.
Some of her most memorable stories include flying with the Blue Angels in Pensacola, covering Hurricane Irma in Jacksonville, Florida for dozens of stations across the country, and traveling throughout the Panhandle as police searched for a serial killer on the run. She loves the rush of a breaking news story but also knows the importance of a good news story showcasing her hometown’s best community members. Being a native of Louisville, she says she feels an added pressure to tell good, fair stories. “If I don’t do my best, it’s not just on me. This is my parents’ home. All of my family lives here. I have to make them proud,” she says. She attended Sacred Heart Academy before heading to the University of Kentucky to pursue a degree in journalism.
