Hillary Floren is an American journalist currently working as a reporter for KVIA News from Lodi, California. She joined KVIA as a weekend reporter. This was due to the fact that she was still in college. After graduating in 1998, she moved to Albuquerque with her husband. This was a bit tough to work with but the manager at KVIA asked her that she could fill in for the absent anchors or join in for the weekend job. Working with much effort she joined the Good Morning El Paso news segment. As of now, she broadcasts together with Mauricio Casillas for the 4:30 to 7 am news.
Prior to working at KVIA, ABC- she had a broadcast job at KMSU. She went ahead and tried and that was her debut career in journalism. Before joining the ABC-7 team, she was a producer at KOAT in Albuquerque and anchored and reported for KRWG, the student-run station at NMSU in Las Cruces.
Her very first job was after High School. She had worked in a loan department at a bank. Her passion was to be a teacher. She even joined the New Mexico State University(NMSU) working as an elementary teacher for preschool. However, after some time she wanted to try something a little different.
She went to study at the New Mexico State University, where she studied education.
