James Mustapic is a standup comedian with a satirical, dry style and makes cutting observations that come in surprising contrast to his soft-spoken presence.
He was a contestant and is the winner of Celebrity Treasure Island 2023. He won The Treasure Hunt and an additional $5,000 + $100,000 as the charity prize raised. James Mustapic won the treasure hunt on Day 18, taking $100,000 for Gender Minorities Aotearoa. Courtney Dawson and Turia Schmidt-Peke were the other two finalists.
The comedian became known for his popular TVNZ+ show, Abandonment Issues, Comedy Gala, Cubicle Confessions, and his web series, Repressed Memories, which was featured on the spin-off.co.nz.
Mustapic began comedy with his online show Shorty Street Scandal back in 2014. He started standup comedy in the year 2015.
Since starting his standup career, James has been a regular performer across the NZ comedy circuit. He has also appeared on hit TV shows like The Comedy Gala, Have You Been Paying Attention NZ, and Guy Montgomery’s Spelling Bee.
