Jeanine Zheng is a UX designer and a castaway from Survivor 43. She is part of the tribe, Baka. The season premiered on September 21, 2022, on Global and CBS. She was announced as one of 18 contestants alongside, Elisabeth “Elie” Scott, Jesse Lopez, Dwight Moore, Gabler, Noelle Lambert, Geo Bustamante, Cassidy Clark, Sami Layadi, and others. Filming of the show took place in Fiji for an eleventh consecutive season.
She is a graduate of Harvard University with a double major in design and environmental science.

Zheng is a castaway in Survivor 43. She forms part of the tribe named Baka. She is the youngest woman to compete on Survivor 43. Her hobbies include backpacking (bonus points if it leads to sleeping under the stars), photography, and running. She also describes herself as Green (both in that she absorbs all new experiences/information around her, and is environmentally conscious), empathetic, and witty. She also says that she is introverted in nature. However, people tend to assume she is extroverted because she is engaged especially when she meets people for the first time. She went on to spell out her dislikes as being “mansplained” to, and people on their phones while hanging out.
The accomplishment she is most proud of is her senior thesis. She explains that the thesis did bridge her two majors of Environmental Science and Visual Arts. They are two departments that have never worked together as a double major, and it took a lot of initiative to come up with her own syllabus and thesis which addresses both. She describes the thesis as a true reflection of her, and her passion for sustainability and art.
She states that her father is her greatest hero since he made way for his family and created a good life for the. Despite his tough upbringing as a sweet potato farmer in China, he relocated to the United States completed his Ph.D. in genetics, and now creates biotechnologies to increase yields for those very crops. She expressed her great admiration for his tenacity, work ethic, and discipline.
She would like to play her Survivor game like Kim Spradlin. She had the ability to control the game based on her interpersonal relationships, convincing everyone in the tribe that they could trust her. She straddled the perfect balance of executing huge game moves without being pegged as the mastermind—and is feminism at its finest. Also, Andrea Boehlke because she is outdoorsy, carried her weight and manipulated people while staying likable.
In the last part when she was asked why she believes she could be the Sole Survivor, she answered, ” Given the evolution of the game, I see the winner as having to sit between multiple trust clusters and have the intuition to know when to rely on which at any given moment. I can sit in that position; I can create relationships with people from completely different backgrounds and juggle the nuances of my different alliances. My athleticism and outdoor experience give me the ability to “outlast,” but I see my real strong suit in the “outwit” portion. I can read social dynamics easily, which will allow me to be ahead of the curve in terms of moves. I’ll make my own moves so that at Final Tribal Council, there will be no question of whether or not I played actively and assertively.”
