Josh Millgate is a pilot as well as a castaway from Australian Survivor: Blood v Water. He became a contestant on the show alongside his cousin Jordan. Jordan was playing with his cousin Josh and between the two, Jordan is the one who will be diving headfirst. Although they are cousins, Jordan and Josh say their relationship is closer than most brothers. Josh, on the other hand, considers himself a Survivor armchair expert and is excited to see if he can execute the physical, social, and strategic gameplay in real life.
When asked if he had done any training before the start of the show, he said that he did buy a magnesium flint and learned the basics of fire starting plus some basic knot tying skills. He also shared that the experience gained in the competition will be a shared experience and one has got to be lucky to get on the show, let alone get with your cousin. It’s all fun for us, we won’t take anything too seriously.
Millgate was among the last five contestants on the show before he was eliminated on the season finale (Day 46). He left behind three other contestants, Mark, Chrissy, and Shayelle to battle out for the title.

He is in a relationship and is engaged to his fiancee Saige. He opened a letter from his fiancee Saige – and a picture of an ultrasound fell out. He immediately burst into tears, as did the other contestants when the realization dawned on them: Josh was discovering he was going to be a father. “To my dearest Josh, your dream has come true and you’re going to be a dad. I’m nine weeks pregnant,” Saige wrote in the letter.
Speaking to the camera, Josh gave some context as to why the news was so unexpected. The couple was about to start IVF before he left for Survivor, but during one of the initial tests, doctors discovered Saige had a “big” cyst on an ovary. “Later on in the letter, Saige revealed that it turned out she had in fact been pregnant during those initial tests. “I’m counting down the days until you come home, but don’t come home any sooner than is expected because now you have a baby to win for,” the letter continued. And there’s a happy update seeing as this season of Survivor was filmed in October last year – all is going well and Josh and Saige’s baby is due in late May:
