Kam Carman is the vice president of media relations at Westshore Public Relations since March 2022. She is best known for previously working as a journalist and news anchor and is mostly known for her radio and television broadcasts on FOX News and WNIC. The former journalist has also starred in advertisement commercials, and two movies and has been nominated for Emmy six times. From 1989 to 1991 she started her career presenting as an on-screen meteorologist for The Weather Channel, the Atlanta-based news network.
In Feb 1991, she got her job as a news anchor at WJBK FOX 2, in Greater Detroit Area. Being famously known by viewers, her career with Fox lasted for nearly 24 years. She left the media station in September 2014. During her last 5 years with FOX 2, she co-hosted the morning news program, “The Nine”. She was also a presenter for the weather forecast for the Magic Morning Show and Magic 105.1.
Her career in radio broadcasting also took a long time just like her television presenting career, for just over 23 years she had worked on 100.3 WNIC. In 2017, she had been co-hosting alongside Jay Towers on the morning show. She has also featured in two movies; first in the Al Pacino movie “You Don’t Know Jack”, released in April 2010, followed by ‘Conviction’, a biographical murder drama released in November 2010. She took part in a small part (section) as a reporter in both movies.
She studied in the Class of 82 at Cortez High School in Phoenix, Arizona. She went on to study Broadcast Journalism at Northern Arizona University in 1982 and graduated with a Bachelors’s degree in 1986.
