Katie Beasley is a former American anchor and reporter. She anchored Good Day Atlanta at 4:30 a.m. and also on SKYFOX Traffic all morning long. She also co-anchored Good Day Atlanta’s latest hour, at 10 a.m., which features live guests and segments to keep viewers entertained and informed. She joined FOX 5 in January 2013. Before working at FOX 5, she was co-anchor of News 12 “First at Five” for WRDW in Augusta, Georgia. She has been recognized with three Georgia Association of Broadcasters Awards, one Georgia Associated Press Award, and one Georgia Association of Broadcasters Merit Award. In 2021, she departed from FOX 5 to concentrate with her family and practice photography.
She was brought up in Cherokee County, and it was there that her passion for television news started to grow. She even served as a co-anchor for her elementary school’s news when she was in the fifth grade. She went on to study and graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast News Journalism. She loves metro Atlanta and connecting with her fans on social media.
