Liz Parnov is a Russian-Australian athlete who competed in the pole vault at the Olympics, World Championships, and Commonwealth Games. She is also the winner of Australian Survivor: Heroes V Villains.

Parnov is the marketing manager for the streetwear brand StreetX and studies global media and communications at Murdoch University.

Survivor contestant Parnov hails from a family of pole vaulters. Born in Moscow, Russia her family emigrated to Australia in 1996 when she was 2 years old.

She started playing pole vaulting competitively at the age of 9. She set two world age bests at 11 and 12 years. Liz is the niece of Tatiana Grigorieva, who won the silver medal for Australia in the women’s pole vault at the 2000 Summer Olympics, and the granddaughter of Natalya Pechonkina, who won the bronze medal for the USSR in the women’s 400m at the 1968 Summer Olympics.

In 2010, she competed at the first Youth Olympic Games and won silver, jumping 4.40m weeks before she turned 16. Her personal best of 4.50 meters, achieved on 17 February 2012 at Perth, is the Australian under-20 record.

Liz is the first Sole Survivor across all franchises to win the game after mutinying with another tribe.
