Margaret Reynolds is an Australian retired senator and author who worked under the administration of the Australian Labour Party. She is an Australian national who worked as a senator covering Queensland beginning 1983 to the year 1999. The Australian Labour Party otherwise referred to as Labor or alternatively abbreviated as ALP is a major party in the political arena in Australia. In the current federal parliament, the party (ALP) is in the opposition.
While performing her duties as a senator, Reynolds had been appointed twice as a minister where she performed her duties as a minister in charge of the Local Government from the month of September 1987 until April 1990. Consequently, she also performed the duty of being Minister helping the Prime Minister for the Status of Women beginning January of 1988 until April of 1990.
She went ahead for retirement from federal politics in the year 1999. After her retirement, she proceeded to become a politics and international relations lecturer at the University of Queensland.
While still in politics, Reynolds authored and went ahead to publish a publication with the title: The Last Bastion: Labor women working towards equality in the parliaments of Australia in 1995. The book is made up of characteristic accounts with reference to women working with ALP from the year of the party was inaugurated to when the book was produced as a publication. In 2007, another supplementary book termed Living Politics was produced by the University of Queensland Press.
She went on to undertake the duty of the first president of ABC Friends National Inc. in December 2016. This is the framework that synchronizes a number of state friend groups within the Australian region.
