Marion Frith is a former journalist, senior communications specialist, and political speechwriter, and has recently retrained as a registered family mediator. She is best known for being the partner of Fran Kelly who is a radio presenter, current affairs journalist, and political correspondent who hosted the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Radio National program Breakfast from March 2005 to October 21, 2021. Her partner told her listeners she loved the job, but the early mornings were getting to her and it was time for a change. She finished the role on December 2, 2021.
Marion has written and worked for major Australian newspapers and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as a social and political commentator. She has also authored a novel for children titled ‘Here in the After’ which came out on September 1, 2021. She also adores continually scouring thrift shops and garage sales for tiny alphabet treasures.
Frith has also vividly narrated hope in the aftermath of war based on her book ‘Here in the After’ which recounts life after loss and human resilience in the midst of trauma. In the book, she narrates the story through an unlikely friendship between two fictional characters.
