Paige Thorne is a Welsh paramedic from Swansea who is a contestant in season eight of the television show Love Island UK. She is contesting against 10 other competitors in the show. The show premieres on Monday, June 6, 2022, on ITV2. She has also garnered support from one Andy Humphries, 58, from Swansea, who said that when he collapsed at a doctor’s surgery, Paige was one of the paramedics who turned up to help him.
He said: “I owe my life to her, and she was so good to me. She waited with me when I got to the hospital, she stayed while I had scans. “It happened just before the first lockdown, and she told me that she had not long qualified, but she was amazing and totally wonderful.”

In an interview, she said: “In Swansea, there is just no one I can find, I’ve tried and there’s just nobody there anymore. I need to break out and broaden my horizons and Love Island just brings everyone together for me.I haven’t got to go out and I haven’t got to swipe. So, hopefully, they can just come to me now!”
On what she’s looking for in a partner, she said: “Just positive energy, lots of bubbly energy. I am a good cook and I’m quite mumsy so I’ll look after anyone that needs looking after. If I had to pick a signature dish, it would probably be a Sunday dinner. My roasties are up there, I think Gordon Ramsay would be impressed – I think he would be like ‘9/10 or 10/10’.”
