Tamara Powell is an American entrepreneur and R&B/Soul singer & member of the duo Trina & Tamara. They are the sisters of the late R&B/Soul singer Jesse Powell. Their self-titled album yielded the R&B hits “Why’d You Come Here For?” and “Joanne.” They were former members of the R&B group, Somethin’ For The People with whom they also scored a Platinum hit with “My Love Is the Shhh….” She is also a songwriter, author, tv producer, and thought influencer.
She then branched out as a Staff Writer for EMI Music Publishing and is now a much sought-after Vocal Producer. Music credits include Dr. Dre’, Boys to Men, Fantasia, Kanye West, John Legend, Eminem, Will Smith, Lauryn Hill, Jermaine Dupri, and numerous others.
