Will Kirk is a London-based furniture and woodwork restorer and an expert on the BBC program The Repair Shop. He also serves as the Heritage Crafts Association ambassador. On October 31, 2022, he started working as a presenter on BBC on a new series known as The Travelling Auctioneers alongside Christina Trevanion.
Kirk attended the University of the Arts London and studied Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design then proceeded to London Metropolitan University (formally known as London School of Furniture) to pursue Bachelor of Arts in Antique Furniture Restoration and Conservation. Following his graduation, he went to Italy with the Worshipful Company of Painters and Stainers, to represent the UK at the annual ‘Salon Decorative Arts Fair’, as well as working for various workshops and dealers in and around London.
In 2012, he set up his workshop in Wandsworth, London. His company works for corporates, and families as well as on a variety of commissions according to his website. In 2013, he made his first appearance on television on The French Collection which was aired on Channel 4. Around the same time, he also appeared on What To Buy and Why on BBC. His popularity grew in 2017 when he began appearing on the BBC program The Repair Shop.
He has since taken different television roles since 2017. In October 2020, he started presenting Morning Live on BBC which at then was a new show. His role on the show was to give DIY advice. In May 2021 together with Jay Blades, they began co-hosting a show (celebrity special edition of) Strike It Lucky.
He participated in Celebrity Masterchef in August 2021. However, he was the first contestant to be eliminated on day one of the show after serving duck breast and sweet potato mash with tender stem broccoli and a red wine jus, but with raw duck, for the “Dinner Party Challenge”.

Is Will Kirk married? Will is married to his wife, Polly Snowdon. Polly works as an educational psychologist. The couple got married on August 7, 2021. Their wedding took place at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester.
Initially, they planned to get married and have their wedding in August 2020 but their plans were disrupted by the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic. They have one child.

According to his website, Will has been passionate and had an interest in furniture since he was young. His interest was inspired by his grandfather whom Will watched as he worked on his workshop.
Will’s father is deceased. He mentioned on The TV Carpenter Podcast that he set up his business using his inheritance after the death of his father. “I started my own business,” he explained. “My father had passed away and I inherited a bit of money but not too much that I could go wild but enough for me to get a workshop and print out some flyers.”
However, things didn’t go exactly to plan for the first year. “I just spent months handing flyers out and hearing nothing,” said Will. “I think I made £890 in my first year.

Will Kirk was offered a job on the BBC show The Repair Shop in 2017. In an interview with The TV Carpenter Podcast, Will explained how his role on the show came about. He said: “I fit a piece of furniture for someone who worked for the production company. He picked up the furniture, he was very pleased with what I did and then he said, ‘Do you mind if I come down to your workshop with a camera and a few cans of beer and we can have a chat about your furniture, restoring furniture and everything else?’
Will added: “So he recorded me on camera, I didn’t hear anything for about five, six months and then I got a phone call saying ‘We’re developing a show. Do you mind if we come with you to drop off some furniture, film the people that you’re dropping off for, and record you fixing things,’ and then two months later, ‘Do you want to be on the show?’
“It was really weird,” he added.
