Lucia Scalisi is a British television presenter serving as an expert on BBC’s television program, The Repair Shop.
She is best known for being a formally trained and qualified conservator of paintings holding more than 30 years experience in the art, working in the museum as well as in the private sector. She trains, does project development, and also works on large-scale conservation projects.
Born in the UK, Lucia studied and graduated with a Diploma in the Conservation of Easel Paintings from the University of Northumbria. Her career in Conservation kicked off in 1984 at the Victoria and Albert Museum. She worked with the Victoria and Albert Museum (V & A), for 11 years serving as a Senior Conservator of Paintings. She left the V & A Museum and began her own private practice conservation studio in London, UK.
