Matthew Nickels is a British stained glass window specialist and an expert on the BBC television program The Repair Shop. Commonly referred to as Matt, he hails from Brighton, UK. Since 2018, he has worked alongside restoration experts Will Kirk, Jay Blades, and Suzie Fletcher in The Repair Shop. He has also been featured on Netflix US.
Alongside his job on television, Matt is a conservator at York Glazier’s Trust according to his bio on Instagram. York Glazier’s Trust is recognized as one of the largest and oldest specialist stained glass conservation studios worldwide. By working with them, Matt has gained knowledge, skills, and exposure.
