Aditya Dhar is an Indian writer, director, and lyricist. He made his directorial debut with Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019), which was based on the 2016 Uri attack. The Surgical Strike, starring Vicky Kaushal produced by RSVP Films, was a smashing success making over Rs. 200 Cr in box office collections. The critically acclaimed film was widely appreciated by the audience throughout the country and it is one of the top-rated movies on IMDb. He won the best director award for this film at the 66th National Film Awards in 2019.
