Barbara Goodson born Barbara Dale Goodson is an American award-winning voice actress. She is known for doing voice-over work in shows and cartoons. The role that led her to be famous was when she performed the English voice version (dub voice) of the main antagonist Empress Rita Repulsa in the Power Rangers franchise, which began with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and also included Power Rangers Zeo, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, Power Rangers in Space. The other characters in Power Rangers include Prince Sprocket and Orbus in Power Rangers Zeo, and Mandilok in Power Rangers Wild Force. She also vocalized Red Fraggle and Wingnut in Jim Henson’s cartoon Fraggle Rock, Mother Talzin on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Ladybug in Beetleborgs Metallix. This led her to gain recognition and therefore won an award of Best Actress from the website Behind The Voice Actors. She also voiced in Home Box Office (HBO) Adventures of Tom Sawyer as Tom and FLCL as Naota. She was cast as a member in the series CloudBread known as Wooley, Grandma, Ruiz, and Teacher Ellie and the series performance led to its nomination for Best Children’s Programming in the year 2011 for an Annie Award. As part of her work in the industry, she was also given an award known as an Earphones Award for being the narrator of Blair Clemons in the Time/Warner book On A Night Like This.
