Catherine Andrews is an Australian director at The Torch which is a Victoria-based organization supporting indigenous Australian offenders and ex-offenders via aboriginal arts. She has been the director since 2015. Since 2012, she is also an ambassador at Sunsmart and serves a similar role at The Stella Prize since 2015. The Stella Prize helps Australian women writers and their work. Additionally, she is best known as the wife of Australian politician Daniel Andrews who is also a current premier of Victoria since 2014. According to the Herald, she was credited for being crucial in her husband’s transformation from a round-shouldered, slightly geeky politician into a lean and self-assured leader. “A classy blonde who wasn’t afraid to speak up in front of the cameras, she was frequently referred to as Labor’s “secret weapon”.”
Prior to the position, she holds currently, she worked at the Victoria Public records office doing research, helping in event organizing, and helped in gathering information.
