Grant Hughes is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is also known for being the fiance of American actress Sophia Bush. He is the co-founder of FocusMotion Health a Santa Monica-based organization, which “creates data-driven orthopedic recovery solutions” for surgery patients. The company has been in existence since June 2013. He also worked as FocusMotion Health’s chief strategy officer. Besides that, he has also worked in “natty wine, real estate investment, med tech, angel investing, & education.”
He also describes himself as a philanthropist, who has also volunteered for the Wayfarer Foundation to help provide “free clothes, haircuts, foot washing, medical services, legal services, a warm meal, showers, eye exams, and a damn good dance party” to people living on Skid Row in Los Angeles.
He promoted a BuildOn fundraiser in 2015 to help construct a three-room schoolhouse in Nepal, advocated for LGBTQ rights in 2015 when same-sex marriage became legal in the U.S., volunteered at the Skid Row Carnival of Love in 2018, and attended a Black Lives Matter protest with his fiance Bush in 2020.
In 2020, Hughes has worked to support medical professionals on the front lines of the Covid-19 crisis. Hughes noted in his Instagram bio that he is currently “leading” The Venice Book Club, which is a social book club based out of Venice Beach, California.
