Luke Kolpin is an American chef from Seattle, Washington. He was a former chef at Noma a three Michelin-starred, the world-renowned restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is amongst the 15 contestants who are competing in the American cooking reality show Top Chef that airs on Bravo television. The reality show premiered on March 3, 2020. The show was filmed in Houston, Texas. The winner of the competition gets to take home a grand prize of US$250, 000 and the title of the show “Top Chef.”
He began his journey in culinary at Seattle Central College’s culinary program. After his graduation, he proceeded to work at many Seattle restaurants including Canlis, an upscale fine-dining destination. Looking to further his culinary expertise, Luke accepted a job under Chef Rene Redzepi at the three Michelin-starred, world-renowned restaurant Noma in Copenhagen, Denmark. While working at Noma, he had the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented chefs in the culinary industry and earned the role of Sous Chef. After eight years at Noma, he decided to head back home to Seattle. According to his bio on Bravo, when feeding himself, his everyday go-to dish is a sandwich as there are endless possibilities of perfection!
