Luzuko Nteleko was a South African actor and entrepreneur. He was best known for featuring for his role as Loyiso in the SABC1 drama Zone 14, Streets of Mangaung (2012), Isidingo, and Ring of Lies. He had a long career as an actor and has featured in big local productions such as Zone 14, Muvhango, and Ring of Lies. The actor was loved by many for his fun personality, humor, and his multilingualism that often left his fans impressed. He was fluent in Xhosa, Zulu, Sotho, Xitsonga, and English.
Originally from Sebokeng, Gauteng, he lived in Johannesburg. He debuted on television when a British production house cast him in the lead role of a 2004 docu-drama flighted on DStv’s Discovery Channel. In 2014 he had a starring role in the Mzansi Magic miniseries 4 Hours, playing a man who has four hours to save his family after they were kidnapped and buried alive by a gangster. In that year, he had a guest-starring role in the SABC1 sitcom Single Galz. In 2015 he joined the SABC2 soapie Muvhango, in the role of Lwazi, love interest to Rendani (Innocentia Manchidi). Between 2014 and 2016, he had a recurring role on the SABC1 drama series Mfolozi Street and in 2016 he starred as X in the third season of SABC1’s fashion drama series Tempy Pushas.
Having studied at Wits Tech, Luzuko owned an educational/industrial theatre and promotions company. Since 2010, Nteleko had been writing, directing, and performing shows on Health and Safety Awareness in the workplace, Teenage pregnancy, The Dangers of Drugs and Alcohol shows that were performed in companies, Schools, and communities. He also owned N2ZEE Projects a VIP mobile toilets, mobile bars, and mobile fridge hiring company.

He died on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the age of 36. On Tuesday, his sister, Nomsa, broke the news of his death on social media, tweeting: “How do we even begin Ndlovu Elephant…Dear God Broken heart #RIPLuzukoNteleko”
A statement released to Channel24 on behalf of the family said: “The Nteleko family hereby confirm the passing of their son, Luzuko Nteleko. Luzuko was diagnosed with brain cancer stage 4 in 2019. He fought a good fight until he met his untimely death on the 21st of June 2021. We are deeply saddened and hurt by his passing. Luzuko was love personified. He was peace, courage, and strength…” the statement continued.
Luzuko was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer in 2019 and fought a two-year battle against the disease. Many people poured their tributes on social media to express their shock and heartbreak following the death of Nteleko.
“Each day, we lose one. Each day. He has taken a special part of the art with him. Only a few will understand. Go well mntase. #RIPLuzukoNteleko,” twitted Dam actress Thembisa Mdoda.
