Maisam is an interior design student and sales assistant in Manchester, United Kingdom. She is a contestant in series 13 of The Great British Bake Off 2022. The show premiered on Tuesday, September 3, 2022, at 8 pm on Channel 4. and features 12 contestants. in Each episode one contestant will be eliminated until the season finale where the ultimate winner will take the prize. The show will also premiere on Netflix on Friday, September 16, 2022, and will air as such till the end.
Maisam is skilled in learning new languages and can speak up to five different languages. These are; English, Arabic, Amazigh, Spanish, and Turkish. She has a goal of learning two more languages to make that seven before she attains the age of 20. Her original home country is Libya but she has been a resident of the United Kingdom since the age of nine when her family permanently relocated to the United Kingdom. In her free time, she practices photography by taking still photographs of her surroundings.
She started baking at the age of 13. This was four years after she relocated to the United Kingdom from Libya. She is also passionate about working on the science necessary to bake in the right way. She bakes time and again until she reaches the desired outcome. Her Mediterranean heritage inspires her favorite flavors that is the tang of olives, the sweetness of dates, and the nuttiness of sesame seeds.
