Celeste Barber is an Australian comedian, writer, actress, and media personality. Recently in early 2021, she has been selected as the face of the beauty brand, MCoBeauty.
She began her career as a n actress and has been featured in many television shows such as All Saints. She has been on the panel of the show Have You Been Paying Attention? and a studio 10 co-host. She has also ventured into comedy and in the year 2015, she became a finalist in the MICF Raw Comedy selling out shows form Fringe Festivals and Sydney Comedy.
Talking about comedy she said: “I’ve always been told I’ve been funny but I always thought funny was stupid. I thought if you were a bit of an idiot then that was funny. But I’ve since learnt, no, not the case, and being funny is the best and I love it… My late friend Mark Priestley, who worked on All Saints with me, was like, “This is your niche,” and he helped me focus on it.”
She has her personal podcst which she began in April 2019 known as Celeste. She is also an author with her first book being debuted in September 2018 known as – Celeste Barber – Challenge Accepted. She has anther children’s book titled – Celeste the Giraffe Loves to Laugh it was launched in October 2019.
She has also partcipated in charitable events and fundraising. For example, she helped raise more than $50 million for bushfire releif in the 2019-2020 bushfire season.
She went to school at Saint Joseph’s College, Tweed Heads. She also trained at Nepean, Sydney in Acting in the early 2000s.
