Jisoo is a South Korean television actress, model, and singer. Her birth-given name is Kim Ji-soo. She became famous in August 2016 when she premiered as part of the girl group called Blackpink who were signed under the YG Entertainment. She has also been an endorsement model for the South Korean cosmetic brand – Kiss Me. She is also an ambassador for Dior Cosmetic brand.
Her career on television started in 2011 when she was signed by YG Entertainment as a trainee as she did auditions. She was briefly featured in the KBS2 drama The Producers in 2015. She also did advertisements for brands such as LG Electronics, and Nikon among others. On August 8, 2016, she was a part of Blackpink as they released their first single album Square One. As from 2017 and 2018, she became an MC for Ikingayo and went into acting in 2019 appearing shortly in Arthdal Chronicles. She was confirmed by YG Entertainment on August 18, 2020, to be the lead actress in the drama Snowdrop.
